Who are the TTA
The TTA is a travel trade association which exists in order to protect you, the customer with 100% financial protection and has been doing so for over 15 years.

How does the TTA protect you
In the unlikely event, that any member of the TTA fail or cease trading, the TTA will liaise with the suppliers and Tour Operators to ensure your holiday goes ahead unaffected. If for any reason this is not possible, a claim for a refund will be administered to the member for your holiday.

• Once you have made your booking, Holiday Mate deposits your money into the Trust Account. A trust account is a bank designated to hold your money.
• You the customer are issued with a Financial Guarantee Certificate upon booking by Holiday Mate.
• Your money stays in the Trust Account and is supervised by a Trustee, who is either a banker, chartered or certified accountant or solicitor.
• Holiday Mate and the Trustee are both required to authorize payments from the Trust Account
• The Trust account and the Guarantee ensure that the money you have paid is safely protected and available to reimburse money paid, if necessary.
• Your money is not transferred to Holiday Mate directly until you return from your trip abroad.

What happens if Holiday Mate cease trading or enters into an Event of Default

If Holiday Mate ceases to be a member of the TTA this is called an Event of Default. Do not worry, you are still 100% financially protected.

• Do not panic! Holiday Mate and the TTA expect customers to travel as planned and the TTA will liaise with Holiday Mate to ensure your holiday/trip goes ahead unaffected.
• If for any reason this is not possible the TTA administer a claim for a refund of your money that you paid.
• You should contact the TTA before booking any replacement holiday as it is likely that you will continue with your booking as intended.
• If you wish to cancel your booking, you will be subject to cancellation charges as set by Holiday Mate.
