For Beach Lovers
Calis has a more low-key, laidback atmosphere than some of its counterparts. Here, we can flop on a sand and shingle bay and swim in the sparkling clear waters. There is a selection of cafés and cocktail bars to keep us entertained, many on the beachfront boulevard boasting striking bay views. Restaurants serve seafood or Turkish fare, as well as Italian or English if you’re in need of a fix!
Turtles & Turkish Baths
There are a myriad of optional excursions to choose from. The resort of Fethiye is within easy reach by dolmus or water taxi, where we will find an abundance of shops and the weekly market. Fun attractions nearby include an aqua park and boat trips, plus a must-try Turkish bath experience! Further afield, discover the blissful lagoon at Olu Deniz, take a guided walk through Saklikent Gorge or visit Dalyan River, where Loggerhead Turtles are known to lay and bury their eggs.

ACCOMMODATION
In a prime location, the Mendos Hotel is one of those hotels where you can almost fall out of bed and find yourself on the beach. The hotel is actually split into two buildings. One lies right beside the beach promenade and the other is behind it, across a small, quiet road, and comes with 36 rooms. Our rooms are located in the back section with use of all the facilities of the front beachside building too, including the hotel restaurant, which spills out onto the promenade. Olu Deniz is 15km away and Fethiye harbour town only 5km. There are two outdoor swimming pools, one for each block and one main pool bar. Rooms are simply furnished and include a balcony, telephone, air-conditioning, satellite TV, hairdryer, safe deposit box (pay locally) and fridge.
